Give Me Some Answers - Book three in the series Prodigal Sons

The final book in the stunning Darkhaven trilogy about secrets, lies, and love conquering all.

When his father’s gambling debts forced the sale of Whitby Downs station, Matt Daintry vowed he would do whatever it took to reclaim his family’s heritage. But his heart and his head were at war when he met, seduced, and eloped with Charlotte Buchanan, the beautiful daughter of the new owner.

The last person Charlotte Buchanan expected to turn up for the reading of her father’s will was Matt Daintry, her estranged husband and father of her four-year-old son, Noah. Even more unexpected, is the shock discovery that Lachlan Buchanan has bequeathed the once prosperous station of Whitby Downs in trust to Noah and appointed Matt as the child’s sole trustee, thwarting Matt’s stated ambition of regaining ownership of Whitby Downs and throwing Charlotte back in the path of the one man who can steal her equilibrium.

Very soon, Charlotte and Matt find themselves locked in a battle of wills over the land each rightfully regards as their own. Forced to work together for the benefit of their son, they need to confront the issues of their past to have any chance at a new future.

Latest News and Book Release

It has been a little while since I updated my blogs but life had been a little hectic ... and that has to be the understatement of the year.

Last November my husband took sick yet again and as I was having trouble keeping up with our huge garden with my wonky knees, we decided to bite the bullet and put our house on the market.
Wowee, such is the crazy New Zealand housing market, it sold in four days.

Talk about moving into panic mode!

We bought a much smaller section and plan to build a new house, but this has proved to be a long drawn out process and hopefully the building work will start the coming week ... what with getting the plans and permits suffice it to say that it's a slow process. And to add to all this, four weeks ago I had surgery for a total knee replacement ... life in the Wine household is never dull. I have made a great recovery and am already walking on one crutch.

Fortunately for us, my eldest sister kindly asked us to move into her new house with her ... so all's well that ends well.

Writing has been going apace regardless of the upheaval and my latest book Ask Me No Questions is coming out next week and is available on all sales platforms ... and the final edits for Give Me Some Answers have gone back to the editor this last week.

Description:
Shirley Wine takes us back to Darkhaven, where secrets and scandals can’t stay hidden for long…
Ten years ago Logan Sinclair vanished, abandoning his home, his family and the prosperous racing stud of Darkhaven — and Piper Daintry, whose love he once shared.
Now that he’s returned, Logan is greeted with suspicion and distrust — the good people of Cambridge have long memories and he quickly discovers he can’t escape the ghosts of his past, the woman he left behind, or the grief that threatens to bring him to his knees…
He’s heard it said often enough that you can never return home…and Logan quickly comes to realise that he may have compounded his mistakes by doing exactly that. Will learning his secrets push Piper further away, or will he get a second chance at love?

Latest News

Writing is coming along slowly ... this happens when Life intervenes and we are currently homeless... well not exactly homeless as we are living with my sister while our new house is built...and not being in my own space has slowed down my writing ... le sigh!

Building is slower than writing a book... there is currently a housing boom and it has taken months to have the plans drawn up and submitted to our local council to obtain a building permit.

The edits for my second release from Escape Publishing are back with the editors ...

Ask Me No Questions  is due for release on June 15th 2016 .....

The edits for the third book are due in my in-box by the end of April .... and they really want book four ... and that is happening slowly.

A New Year - Exciting News

Exciting times

The new year is well underway and a busy year it's shaping up to be...

In November we decided to sell our house ... and it sold in four days and we are currently homeless.
Such is the crazy house market in New Zealand. We certainly had no time for cold feet or second
thoughts ...

Fortunately, my elder sister has room for us to stay with her as we build a new house.

Late last year I sold a three book series to Escape Publishing.

Tell Me No Lies ... the first book in the series is now available for pre-order on
